Overview

Fortified ID Management Center is a standalone product from Fortified ID, that handles installation, upgrades, configuration, and monitoring for all Fortified ID products. Customers can choose to use Management Center or manage their products independently.

All communication with underlying products is handled through standards-based APIs, yielding several benefits:

• Small Footprint: Products are shipped without configuration interfaces or unnecessary code, minimizing both resource usage and the attack surface.

• Independent Updates: New Management Center functionality does not require updates to the underlying products.

• Optional Deactivation: Management Center can be fully disabled to prevent unauthorized access.

• Focused Functionality: Underlying products remain dedicated to their core tasks without administrative overhead.

• Unified Administration: A single application manages all products, providing a consistent and recognisable user experience.

• Configuration changes are versioned at the filesystem level, allowing administrators to “walk back in time.”
