Key components

The key components and how they relate to each other.

Control includes different kinds of components depending on which part of the product is being used. The most useful way to understand them is to group them by Pipes, Forms, API, and Schedules.

Pipes are a central part of Control and are shared across all three parts of the product.

See Pipes.

Forms is the interactive part of Control and uses the following main components:

  • Flow to define the overall process
  • Step to divide the process into stages
  • Control to define what the user can see and do
  • Pipes to execute backend logic during the flow

See Forms.

API is the system-to-system part of Control and is built around:

  • Endpoint definitions
  • Auth handling
  • Request handling
  • Response handling
  • Pipes and DataProxy for backend execution

See API.

Schedules is the timed and background-execution part of Control and is built around:

  • Scheduler job definitions
  • Schedule expressions
  • Pipes that perform the actual work
  • execution settings such as run on start and sequential or parallel execution

See Schedules.
