The purpose of impersonate is to perform a lookup against a data source and, if the search returns more than one result, allow the user to select one entry from the result set.
Examples include:
During a password reset flow, where a teacher is allowed to select which of their students’ accounts the password should be reset for.
When a user has multiple employments or accounts and must choose which account to sign in with for the current session.
