Get started

Use the steps below to get started with Password Reset.

1. Install Password Reset by following the Installation guide.

2. Choose the use case that matches your user store and verification method.

   • Microsoft Active Directory
   • Microsoft Entra ID
   • Microsoft Entra ID with BankID
   • Google Workspace
   • Google Workspace with BankID

3. Configure multiple password policies if different user groups need different password length or complexity requirements, for example students, teachers, and administrators.

4. Add an Information box if you want to display helpful information or links in the Password Reset UI.

5. Add Header text if you want to show optional text and attributes in the top-right area of the GUI.

6. Configure On behalf of if you want to allow an authorized user, such as a manager or service desk agent, to reset a password for someone else.

7. Use Management Center for product-level management and Password Reset-specific configuration.
