# Linux

Installation supports Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL & openSUSE

Installation supports Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL & openSUSE

### Prerequisites before you start installation:

* Verify [**General requirements**](#installation) in **Installation** section
* Installation media for latest version of Management Center. (ManagementCenter-x.x.x.sh)\
  Access to installation media is provided using your customer/partner login.
* System uses "systemctl" as service manager.
* Has the following commands: `/bin/cp, /bin/mv, /bin/ln, /bin/mkdir, /bin/rm, /bin/chmod, /bin/chown, /usr/bin/systemctl, /usr/bin/tee`
* Has Java JDK 25 installed - see Azul JDK installation reference.
* Valid license file, **credentials.json**, created for your organization.
* Suders are included from files under `/etc/sudoers.d/`
* Installation must be performed using elevated privileges.

### Installation

Execute the installer and it will guide through the process.

Installation process will update the host with the following:

* Create a user and user, `frtfd`*,* with GUID `689`.
* Create file `/etc/systemd/system/frtfd.env` containing encryption settings.
* Create file `/etc/sudoers.d/frtfd-mgmt-center` containing sudo directive.
* Create file `/etc/sudoers.d/frtfd-mgmt-center`

### Verify installation

Verify "Management Center" `(mgm-center)` service is installed.

All files should be owned by `frtfd:frtfd` .

User and files above are created.

Any files or folders added to the installation manually need to have ownership `frtfd:frtfd`. This applies when operating in air gapped mode.
