# Breaking changes

Breaking changes and upgrade notes for Management Center releases

## 2.4.0

No breaking changes are documented for Management Center 2.4.0.

External SAML authentication is opt-in and replaces the local login flow only when explicitly configured. Existing local authentication remains active after an upgrade. The environment text is also opt-in; no hostname or placeholder is displayed when it is not configured.

## 2.3.0

No breaking changes are documented for Management Center 2.3.0.

Administrators should nevertheless note these configuration changes:

### LDAP editor storage format

The LDAPSearch, LDAPAdd, and LDAPModify editors write attributes or properties as comma-separated strings. Legacy array values can be opened, but saving converts them to the new format and removes the obsolete LDAPSearch `multivalue` option.

### SAML defaults for new objects

Newly created SAML SP applications and SAML Profiles no longer receive hidden optional defaults. Existing objects are not rewritten by this change.

### Default Access listener

A fresh Access `Default listener` is created with `fingerprint.enabled` set to `false`. Existing listener configuration is not changed during an upgrade.

## 2.2.0

No breaking changes are documented for Management Center 2.2.0.

The release includes fixes that make existing administration workflows more robust, including Linux service control handling, API Endpoint updates for imported configuration, pipe testing with `system` scope values, and release candidate regressions in Access and Control.

## 2.1.0

No breaking changes are documented for Management Center 2.1.0.

The release includes several fixes that make Management Center write safer and more runtime-compatible configuration, including corrected handling for `HttpClient.non_proxy_hosts`, BankID selector labels, SAML format dropdowns, and module `group` defaults. These changes should reduce invalid generated configuration rather than require manual migration.

## 2.0.0

No breaking changes are documented for Management Center 2.0.0.

## 1.2.0

No breaking changes are documented for Management Center 1.2.0.
