# CEF

## Introduction

When logging events, default format is CEF, this module receives the message and sends it to the defined output. Without this module deployed event messages will not be seen.

## Configuration

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Properties" %}
No properties are available.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Example" %}

```json
{
 "name": "CefEventModule",
 "config": {}
}
```

{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

## Customising output

Output is defined in the log log4j2.xml file using the appender EVENT. By editing the appender both format and end destination can be customised. Se log4j2 for more information.
