# CEF

## Introduction

When logging events, default format is CEF, this module receives the message and sends it to the defined output. Without this module deployed event messages will not be seen.

## Customising output

Output is defined in the `log4j2.xml` file using the `EVENT` appender. By editing the appender, both the format and destination can be customised. See the Log4j2 documentation for more information.
